Ardee Community Development Company

Ardee Community Development Company Ltd. is community owned, not for profit Social Enterprise, established 1998. It was the brainchild of a number of local individuals who saw the need for a community response to high unemployment levels,low level of inward investment and the lack job creation opportunities in Ardee region. Since its inception it established Ardee Business Park, a mix of office and industrial rental space and achieved QQI approved training centre. It is estimated that over 300 jobs have been created in the region as a result of its initiatives. ACDC’s most recent innovation is the ‘The Northeast Regional Food Centre’ making Ardee the central hub for small scale food producers in the North East Region. It's fully equipped timeshare kitchen designed for food research/new product development/small scale batch production and fledgling food producers. This most recent initiative is in keeping with ACDC’s mission statement –“Dedicated to Ardee and its Economy”.
