CARI (Children at Risk in Ireland) is a registered charity providing specialised therapy and support to children, families and groups affected by child sexual abuse. It has two full time centres in Dublin and Limerick. CARI provides child-centred therapy for children & adolescents who have been affected by sexual abuse. CARI also provides therapy to children, up to 12 years of age, who present with sexually harmful behaviour.
In addition to duties as a Board Director, the Company Secretary duties include:
Taking minutes at monthy online Board meetings and providing a summary of outstanding Matters Arising.
Ensuring that appropriate Notice of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is circulated to Members and taking responsibility of running the AGM and taking minutes.
Reviewing the charity’s Governance and Compliance documents on an annual basis and making recommendations for updates
Monitoring adherence to the Charities Governance Code and other relevant Regulations and Governance requirements.
