Trustees

Management. Our board meets 9 times a year either remotely via an online platform or in our Dublin City location.

The Board roles we are recruiting for are as follows

Charity Trustees /Directors (6-7) ( with specific skillsets & experience – see below)

  • NGO Sector
  • Law/ Legal Affairs
  • HR
  • Governance & Compliance
  • Communications /Marketing/PR
  • Policy
  • Community Work
  • Community Development
  • Community Activism/ Advocacy

For your time commitment you can expect the following:

  • A comprehensive induction process.
  • Appropriate training to fulfil the duties of a trustee.
  • Each of the roles listed below will have general Trustee duties. These are as follows:
  1. An understanding of, and commitment to, our mission and values
  2. Serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board members
  3. Comply with the charity’s governing document  
  4. Ensuring the charity is complying with its charitable purpose for the public benefit  
  5. Acting in the best interest of the charity 
  6. Acting with reasonable care and skill 
  7. Managing the assets of the charity 
  8. Commitment to all legal and fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and ensuring best practice in corporate governance
