ABACAS Special School is a school for children with a diagnosis of Autism and complex needs between the ages of 4-18. We operate under the patronage Autism Ireland. We currently have 30 pupils, 5 classroom teachers, an administrative principal, 20 SNAs and a Behavioural Analyst. We became a Department of Education school in 2011.
ABACAS offer an individualised programme for each of our pupils that caters specifically to their individual needs from a range of evidence based interventions. We follow the NCCA Primary school curriculum and policies. We also offer Junior Cert Level 1 and Level 2. We welcome input from the HSE in Speech and Language therapy and Occupational therapy.
