Anew Support Services CLG (t/a Anew)

Anew Support Services CLG is a registered charity that provides practical and emotional support to pregnant women and new mothers who are experiencing homelessness. The women we work with come from diverse backgrounds and include careleavers, migrants and members of the travelling community. They often find themselves homeless as a direct result of their pregnancy. The women are isolated and come from complex situations such as domestic abuse, mental and physical health issues and addiction. Anew provides a temporary home in Cherry Blossom Cottage in North Dublin which is staffed 24 hours a day. This includes intensive keyworking and help to secure a forever home for the women and their babies. Anew also provides support to residents and non residents through day services in Haven House in Dublin city centre in areas such as life skills, parenting, peer to peer support, housing information and support, counselling and visiting support. Annually Anew supports approximately 70 women and accommodates approximately 19 pregnant women and new mothers. The intensive early intervention that Anew provides is invaluable in breaking the cycle of poverty. As a result of interventions in Anew, the women are empowered to secure employment and further education. Anew has 14 staff and one charity shop based in Thurles. It operates in compliance with the Charities Regulator's Governance Code.
