The Cottage Home Child and Family Services is a voluntary child care organisation that has been providing Child Care services in the south County Dublin area for over one hundred and forty years.
The Cottage Home Child and Family Services was originally known as The Cottage Home – a voluntary childcare organisation founded in 1879. The original service started as a crèche or day nursery and was the only provision of this nature in Ireland. Based on the needs of children and families at the time, the service very soon developed into providing residential care. We have two residential services that cater for young people of either gender between the ages of 13 and 18 years of age.
The residential services are registered and inspected by The Alternative care inspection and monitoring Service, and monitored by Tusla.
The Cottage Home Child and Family Services is a member of SCI Social Care Ireland and also the Children’s Rights Alliance.
