Inis Housing Association

Inis Housing Association is an Approved Housing Body (AHB) established in 1999.

We have rapidly grown our presence across Clare and the Mid West region to become one of the larger providers of general needs housing local to this area.

We have charitable ‘not for profit’ status and are driven by our mission to:

(a) To carry on for the benefit of the community the provision of housing and associated amenities for persons in deprived or necessitous circumstances.
(b) To provide for relief of poverty and deprivation caused by poor housing conditions and homelessness or
other social and economic circumstances.

Duties of a director:

Comply with the charity’s governing documents
Ensure that the charity is complying with its charitable purpose for the public benefit
Act in the best interest of the charity
Act with reasonable care and skill
Manage the assets of the charity
Applications should detail any relevant non profit and Board experience.

An initial commitment of 3-5 years is preferred.

Interviews are expected to take place by a member of the Board & an external representative in Limerick/Clare (as suitable).
